FRIEND, OCC-HASION'D BY THE DEATH OF HIS FATHER.
From darksome gloom, and scenes deep plung'd in woe,
Raise your dejected soul, and kindly take
From him (these humble lays) who feels & knows,
By sympathy the weight that bears you down.
